Five languages and counting

From classic
to modern languages

Ever since my secondary education in classical languages, translation has been a vital part of my everyday life. During my five-year translation and interpreting studies and my Erasmus year in Austria, that passion has only grown and my language skills have only improved. I always want to get to the bottom of things and I’m capable of (re)formulating the most complex information in a clear and fluent way.

Five languages and counting

I have studied German and Italian at university, because my level of French and English was already pretty high after taking proficiency classes in secondary school. However, throughout my studies, I have taken elective language courses in both French and English to further broaden my skills. For example, during my master’s and postgraduate degree, I have followed all English interpreting courses and during my Erasmus year, I have taken translation courses from and into French as well.

What's in a name? Our brand Idéomatics refers to the term idiomatic, meaning we will always strive for translations containing expressions that are natural to a native speaker. Rather than just translating the words or sentences, we aim to rewrite the text in the target language, as if it were written in that language in the first place.

As the age old golden rule states: you can either have it fast, cheap or good, but you can’t have it all. Since we, at Idéomatics, focus on quality and sometimes speed, compared to other translation bureaus in our fast-paced market our translations might not be considered cheap. However, 'cheap' translations ironically could turn out to be even more expensive, when the result is not according to your expectations and you'll have to adapt or even re-translate.

Choosing Idéomatics means choosing high-quality translations at a reasonable price. Please contact us for a free, personalised quote.
